Even "I" (the queen of takeout) might be able to pulls this on off :) hmm I wonder if I can lie and say I baked it..kinda like I do with the chicken parm I get from the Italian deli..throw it in a baking pan in the oven and when the family gets home...hehehehe.

Somehow the way our Mother's cooked stays with us for a lifetime. My Mom didn't really like cooking as much as she loved baking. We are all still trying to perfect her fudge recipe. We have it...and make it, just never quite tastes like Mom's. :)
You mentioned your Mom passing...was this recently? If so my sincere condolences...well even if it wasn't recently, I'm sorry that you lost your Mom. Life is never quite the same without them.

Why is it that Italians seem to be the best cooks? We have a neighbor (man) who cooks up a storm and everyone loves to be invited over. His wife bakes the pies (yummy - to die for) and he makes the Pasta! He cachetories (sp?) everything, even frog legs from the canal. LOL
