I received the Kensington Personal Firewall for Notebook computers as a "white elephant" Christmas gift at work. I plugged the USB key into my Windows XP desktop as it had USB 2.0 ports to see what it was like, what it would do. I am a tech support rep for a small software company doing both hardware and software support. Windows XP Pro SP 2 immediately went into the blue screen of death and required holding the power button in to escape to a power down state. I called Kensington tech support who without delay or question said it was a faulty key and they would send a replacement out, just throw away the original. This was two weeks before Christmas 2006. I just received the replacement yesterday, not too bad considering the time of year. I brought the new one home and plugged it into my laptop ... immediate blue screen of death on Windows XP Home SP2 and automatic reboot after removing the device. This one is already in the garbage, no need to call. Hit me once, shame on you, hit me twice, shame on me ... no third chance. A search of the Internet revealed others with the same experience. Shame on you Kensington for a poor quality, if not dangerous, product.

It is identified as Kensington Personal Firewall for Notebooks, Protects you PC in public wireless hotspots, 1 Year Warranty on the shipping card.
