Re: Re: The quickest method for ending feuds at our house (Reply to this comment)

My family was/is strange.
Laughing about it keeps me from crying about it! And as bad as it sometimes was, I still find humor in some of the memories, and cling to that part of the history! It makes me feel better!
Speaking of families...some of the writer's corner pieces that you and Jen have done, have made me so aware of how good God has been to you!
Not only is your daughter wonderful, but the stories of your Dad, and of course your husband through both your's and Jen's eyes...you are truly blessed!
And I know you know it...because it shows in all you do and say...especially your endless supply of witty, wise, kind and wonderful comments you leave for others.
You make me feel blessed to have discovered you friend and neighbor!

The quickest method for ending feuds at our house (Reply to this comment)
by iwannagrowup2b
was one my Mother used each time either my brothers or sister and I would hurl insults or punches at each other.
We were told that if we did not stop immediately, that we would be forced to kiss each other!
And UGH!!! KISS a sibling?
Well, that was worse than getting whipped, so we'd stop the barbs and punches, but we'd still give the "if looks could kill" glances at each other when she wasn't looking. That, and
other childish actions that involved protruding tongues.
But, we did shut up and hate each other silently for awhile. There would be a brief lull until another incident would ring the bell for the next round.
Having to kiss was a sure fire fued ender , and one I never got to implement with my own daughter when she was growing up, 'cause she was an only child.
But she has 2 children so far, and I'm just thinking that I may share that info with her as they get a little older.
I'm all for anything that works in keeping peace!

We don't have any points to argue about.

I guess I have a stricter definition of "non-fiction" than most people here -- in fact, I admit to requesting that my local library recategorize some books filed in the "non-fiction" section to "fiction".. Does that make me wrong?

Come to think of it, arthur. if you look at ANY comment discussion we have had, it is you that goes off topic unable to stick to the subject. Just read your own comments in your own last review.

A truce would be fine with me, at least in regard your fine poem.
By the way, lorace, I appreciate the E-mail you sent me in regard my rating and comment. I won't quote it here without your permission, but it shows either that you're far more gracious than ginzo or I would be, or that you understand my reasoning, even if you don't agree.

You know -- if they wanted the reviews in the writer's corner to be considered as just writing, they wouldn't have created dozens of topics. They'd just put them all in one topic: Creative Writing."
Topic????????????????????????????????????????????
Who's arguing about "topic"
I thought we were talking about fiction- non fiction?????????
Typical you.

Thats what I said. The mention of 9/11 makes it which ever category you wanted to put it in.You talk about fiction AND non fiction. Arthur only sees what he wants to see and disregards the rest.
Also,as far as MY dream, which was fiction, the fact that it happened to me is non-fiction. I talked about something that really happened to me. A horrible dream.
He's been lurking around me for too long harassing. I would never shake. He is who he is.

Having our own war here? (Reply to this comment)
by lorace
LOL. Hey, you two. I appreciate all you're trying to accomplish. But, gee, it didn't matter to me that Arthur thought this was off-topic! Really it didn't.
I did go in and delete the word NUCLEAR! Perhaps that establishes something, I don't know. I feel that Ground Zero was war - it has been described as such, a foreign attack upon our country is definitely war.
So, in that light, I truly feel this was non-fiction. The lines about the orange sand and thrashing winds, etc. could be considered as prophecies! I don't know. It doesn't matter.
The poem came from my heart and whatever topic it falls under, it still stands!
Thanks to each of you, though. But I'd be so happy if you'd sign a truce of some sort.
Love and everything nice,
Lorace

Ya know there arthur,....... you might have a partial point there,BUT WHAT FOR!!!
People are just trying to express themselves here and have a little fun. It's writers corner!! That alone opens it up to write pretty much what you want where you want.
9/11 WAS REAL!
For someone to come along here and push there unjustified title role around here like some kind of epinions police is TOTALLY uncalled for!
Your the definition of what sordid-1 calls the real epinions abusers.
Lighten up!!
