The Bottom Line What once was great has fallen, and I am afraid it can't get up. Epinons, RIP

Epinons was once great. I could write opinions and make a few bucks. I could refer people, they would write opinions and I would make a few bucks. Now, I have no incentive to make referrals, it only fills the pockets of epinons.com. Instead of getting dollars each month, my account is increased by cents each month. It simply is not worth my time to labor over a well-written, informative, helpful opinion and get compensated a few cents when hundreds of people read my review.

I don't know what happened. Did our share decrease because profits weren't there? If so, they have taken the wrong approach to remedying the situation. It is like the downward demand spiral in marketing. Sales are down, so we increase the price to boost revenue. The increased price means fewer buyers, so the revenue decreases again.

Or is management just greedy, deciding to keep more for themselves? If that's the case, they are forgetting what made them in the first place - people like me who write opinions for them.

Other writers have alluded to various problems, like the impossibility of getting new products added to the list. I have frequently been unable to find the latest models listed here. Again, the downward spiral effect - they don't come because you don't have what they want. So you cut back more.

It was fun while it lasted, but it's over. This is probably my last epinion, unless huge changes occur.
