i had an old hp printer, 680 i think, that was pass along to me by my father after he got a new hp printer, i had it for a few years before it crapped out on me, dont know why one day it didnt want to work anymore. so i went to staples to buy a new printer. i was going to get another hp printer because the hp printer i had lasted a long time till i saw the xerox m750 printer. they had a working display model so i printed a test page and the print was real nice. the printer was on sale for $99 so i figured "what the heck" i got it
installation was a cinch but i had to get the drivers for it on the xerox website since i am running windows 2000 on my computer and it was not on the included software disk. the printer is a little bit bigger than my old hp. it fits a little tight where my old hp once was. i like the fact that it uses seperate cartridges for each color, you run out of one color, you just buy that color.
since im in school, i use the printer all the times for reports, research and whatever. so far to my knowledge ive used over 1000 sheets through the printer and it has not failed on me. i had to replace the cartriges once already since a refill kit i bought was too messy and didnt hold up.
if you have to get a new printer take a look at the xerox m750 if you can. i havent seen the printer in stores lately, probably because its discontined and replaced with a newer model. they still make the ink for it as i bought ink over a month ago at staples and to this day they still carry it. its a nice printer and i recommend it :)
