but I just wanted to point out that SearchCactus changed their rates and the maximum number of searches a day (1¢ per search, maximum 25 searches in a 24-hour period). But this was still VH material.

It was my understanding that putting referral links in your reviews was not allowed. If they have changed the rules, I'd like to know exactly where you read this because I usually do rate lower as well as let Epinions know about it but if it is allowed then no problem.
I'm not saying I think it's right because I don't but I have no control over what people do here. I have my own website that is set up to help people make extra income but I won't be putting links on here to get referrals. The only thing I do have is my homepage listed because I figure if people want to see it and sign up for things then so be it.
It's just my feelings on the matter and not meant as an argument to your comments or review.

yeah...you can as of just about a month ago, but some of the epinions anal think its wrong and will rate one degree lower (which is so stupid in my opinion)
its rare to find a good program now, but i think companion bar is pretty good...if anyone wants my link, just email me...
ill write a review if they ever make a category for it

well..even though I have them on my web page, including search cactus, most are so horrible I hate to refer people. I am at a point of rarely doing SC...I have about $10 sitting there but at this rate!!! jo
