Pros:Cleans well, pot scrubber feature, fairly quiet
Cons:could be roomier, no timer
The Bottom Line: Does a great job on washing, could use a better design to take advantage of the inside space available.

Having had a GE model dishwasher for several year's, I was slightly hesitant to get another. My first one sure didn't clean as well as I would of expected but that is in another review.
Our new home came equipped with the GE Nautilus built in dishwasher. And Unfortunately my first use of it was a big disappointment. However, this wasn't due to the fault of the dishwasher, but because our builder had broke the safety latch on the door which need's to lock in place to operate the dishwasher. After our builder came to inspect it, they decided we should call GE, it took roughly 4 day's for a service man to arrive and we were given a specific time frame to expect them, along with a call before they came, to make sure someone was home. They repaired it and now onto my review...

This model, of which I believe there are two model's available..comes with a black mirror front and the side's are white, since it is built in, you can not see the white. We were told a plain white model wasn't available.

On the top panel, you have push button's which include..
Cycles - Pot Scrubber or Normal Wash
Energy Options - High temp, on or off button.
Heated Dry - On or Off
To the right of these is a turn knob which is where you select start, short wash, rinse only or the plate warmer option.

As far as design goes, I was a little disappointed in this model compared to my GE Potscrubber. It is very basic in design, the top shelf holding roughly 27 glasses if you play your card's right, about 4 bowls and that is it.
The bottom rack hold's about one small skillet, one cookie sheet, 3 or 4 small cereal bowls and 4-6 plates. Compared to the potscrubber model, it fails miserably in space. But is adequate.
The silverware bin holds sufficient amount's and is placed on the bottom rack in the front center. It is removable for aiding in putting silverware away without having to bend down constantly to reach them. I felt they could of made this more like the potscrubber model by making the silverware bin moveable to other area's of the dishwasher for when you need more space, and also to have made the double tray's separable to store in different area's or to only use one and remove the other for added space, however I didn't design it so I didn't call the shot's on this one.

The inside door has two cup's for dispensing detergent, one is closeable and one isn't. Next to these is the rinse aid dispenser. The only downside I found with this model is that the rinse aid dispenser doesn't have a push top that allows the liquid to come up and show you it still has some. Other model's of GE dishwasher's come with this feature and it is a nice way to determine if it is time to refill your rinse agent.

As far as performance, the Nautilus has done a very nice job, all item's come out very clean, including pan's and the cycle time doesn't seem too terribly long, sorry but I never timed it.
It is easy to operate and reading the owners manual isn't really needed.
One thing I would like to point out if you happen to purchase this model, don't be alarmed if when you turn it to start, if it takes up to 2 minutes before you hear any action, it is standard for this model and isn't any reason for concern.

I would recommend this product for it's cleaning action, roominess could use some more work and GE could stand to copy the potscrubber model on this issue. I wouldn't let it discourage you from purchasing however, I was just used to a bigger more thought out inside design..spoiled would be a good word.

After going a week without my dishwasher due to the handle problem, I can say I'm thrilled to have it back! GE's service department was helpful and courteous and showed up in a timely fashion for the repair. But that is a whole other review.
