Was it worth it?

Pros:Beautifully surround landscape, good service, beautiful interior
Cons:Overpriced and a car drive away to the local attractions, cancellation policy
The Bottom Line: It was overpriced, in my opinion, but great in a beautiful location. The property is breathtaking and service was very accomodating.
I had reserved a room at this hotel as an anniversary gift to my boyfriend. The hotel was given to me as a recommendation from a friend who had stayed here previously. Upon arrival, we noticed the hotel was a bit smaller than expected. It seems as if the majority of the property consisted of cabins for families or couples looking to spend quite a bit of money for a romantic get-away.
The room was very small, but gorgeous. The hotel left a bottle of champagne for my boyfriend and I with a card wishing us a happy anniversary which was a pleasant surprise. The balcony was small but had a gorgeous view of the landscape that Sedona is famous for.
I did think the price was a bit steep for what it was. I had paid approximately $225.00 for the one night that we had stayed at L'Auberge de Sedona. If you are looking for a special night at the most exquisite hotel in Sedona, and do not mind paying the hefty bill, then this hotel is for you.
If you have any reservations in your mind about staying at L'Auberge, be aware of their cancellation policy. It is two weeks written notice and when I made the reservation, it was exactly two weeks to the day of when we were to stay. If you do not cancel within this time, you will be charged the full amount of the room. Usually, they do not take reservations any closer to the date than this from what I was told.
I am not sure I would pay the same price to stay at this hotel again, but I do have to say that it was beautiful. It was quaint and located within a wooded area in the lower elevation of Sedona. The nice part was that it was not located on a main street and to access it, you had to take a small road down a path to get to it.
Again, if money is not an object and you want to stay in a gorgeous part of Arizona, then this hotel is for you.
