Thanks a bunch for dropping by and leaving nice comments, too!
Thai food is hot in every sense of the word indeed. ;o) And winter is a great time for it, too. Bon appetit!

Thanks for stopping by and the very kind words, guys. :o)
vb:We are going to be in San Diego for Spring Break. I will be adding this to the list of places to plan on. thanks for the great suggestion.
You're welcome, vb. :o) I hope you'll enjoy the experience there. And the Gaslamp Quarter as well! This was a dangerous area of town in the 90's but since they revitalized it and built the baseball stadium, it is now the chic part of town. East of 6th or 7th Avenue is still pretty much 'no man's land', though. I wouldn't venture that way after dark. 4th and 5th Avenues from Convention Center to Broadway is pretty well peopled and patrolled at night. :o)
Jessica:I don't get to go as often as I would like because my husband hates Thai food so much, he won't even walk in the door.
Holymoly! He is one of the very few people that doesn't like Thai food then. One of a kind! ;o)
Have you been to all 4 Royal Thai's yet? I've tried the Newport Beach, La Jolla, and San Diego ones. Missing the Laguna Beach so far. I think there's another Tila brother that owns a Thai grocery up in LA.
Rob:It's good to see you venturing into restaurants & gourmet.
Thanks, Rob. I was starting to feel like a one-trick pony, so I'm trying out some new areas a bit. Describing food taste is pretty hard, too... and no story or scenery to hide behind. I think I'll go back to the opera on my next one.
George:Well - your review did one thing for me; made me realize I'm hungry. Maybe I should go Thai one on? Thanks for an uncharacteristic subject matter Smorg-report.
Aha! Mission accomplished then. I was trying to make you do just that, George. ;o) Remember the 'no chasing spice with cold water rule' tho. That Thai chili is nasty.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend and enjoying some great food! Thanks again for stopping by.
Cheers,
Smorg :o)

I love Thai food, and this is one of my favorite restaurants. Unfortunately, I don't get to go as often as I would like because my husband hates Thai food so much, he won't even walk in the door. This is an excellent idea for the next time I go out unencumbered of - uh, I mean - deprived of his company.
