This will be the last review in my $0.36 write off . I bought a few other makeup brands , but Epinions does not carry them and I can't find enough neutral topics on makeup to write about them . However you guys write two opinions on the same subject please e-mail me and tell me how . Epinions will not let me write two opinions on the same subject .

Before I leave anyone in the dark , if you haven ' t read my last few opinions the reason I am calling this my $0.36 write off is because I shop at Eckerds for their discounted makeup and hit the jackpot with several $0.36 buys .


ALMAY - STAY SMOOTH MEDICATED LIP COLOR

The main reason I bought this type of lip color is I thought it was something else . In the hurried frenzy to buy as much of a good deal as possible I saw this wand applying color with dual ends . I picked up three of them , two in the same color . I though one end was color and the other a high shine gloss . Wrong ! One end is a shiny lip color that can 't be defined as gloss , but is too high shine for lip stick . The other end is a clear medication that has the consistency of a lotion .

Medicated End :There is a small applying wand on this end . The brush part is furry not a sponge and is slightly angled for appyling ease . I am assuming that the medication is to help in the prevention and treatment of fever blisters . It burns when applied . The burn can best be described as if you put Camphofenique ( sp ) on you lips or some other menthol substance . The medicated end provides neither shine nor color only medication .

Color End : I bought the colors Dawn and Healthy . Healthy is a pretty plum color and Dawn is a lighter plum with a sparkle throughout . Both colors are very impressive on and are neutral , meaning they would look good on just about any skin tone . The applying wand is the same as the medicated wand . They give a shiny color that is not transparent at all . the over all feel on is kinda heavy . This is not what I like to feel on my lips , but the color s worth it . They last so , so . Longer than a gloss and some sticks but not even half a day . The smell reminds me of house paint , but there are no obnoxious fumes once applied . After the color is all worn off it leaves a very light natural stain . These are also infused with SPF 25 . That is an extra benefit due to the damaging sun .

The amount in the wand is 0.7 fl. oz / 2 ml . of product .
