This is a great list--not because I agree with everything you've said or I've seen everything on it, but because I HAVEN'T seen five of these--and I just added them to my list.

I, too, think that Audrey Hepburn is one of the most beautiful and classiest women that Hollywood ever "produced." She's amazing. Can't wait to see those of these I haven't seen.

"Those of these?"

For the record, Roman Holiday, B @ Tiffany's and My Fair Lady are my favorites on your list.

Thanks for the pointers!

Quinn

Well, I should've mentioned it, but I, dread the thought, haven't seen it, but I'll look for it now. :-)

Idea for a Top 10 list! Audrey Hepburn has always been my all-time favorite actress and to this day I still consider her the most beautiful woman that ever was. Funny Face is my favorite movie on this list because it reminds me of what I'm doing here in Paris (except nowhere near as glamorous and no dancing with Fred Astaire). Thanks for reminding people of what a fantastic person she was.

has always been on the top of my list. When I was in High School, I idolized her though no one else knew who in the heck she was! I absolutely love her movies!

Great list!

great list of course, as any list with ms. hepburn's movies is bound to be...but i have to whine and complain that you didn't put Two for the Road on there. I know, I know, it really isn't that romantic of a movie, and might depress some on Valentine's Day...but I think it's some of her most mature work.

so where is it?! :)

take care,
chad.

Hi, busy guy! I like Cat too, can you imagine a barky dog in that role? Though I'm a cat lover, I'll grant that you have great taste. :-)

. . . each of these - most of them more than once.

I am a dog person at heart. That not withstanding, Breakfast at Tiffany's always made me wish that I could trade places with a soaking wet feline simply called "Cat".

Great posting, Jan.

I can't argue with you, nick. She was a natural beauty who didn't think of herself as that special, which was very appealing.

...as one gets older, but there's no doubt in my mind that Audrey Hepburn was arguably the most beautiful woman ever in cinema.

Different strokes for different folks, and all that, but for classic beauty -- eyes, face, bone structure, projection of persona -- not to mention just being a damned fine actress, I think I'd take her over any of the "sexier" stars from before, oand certainly since.

As difficult as it may be, I'd pick her over Ingrid Bergman and the young Katherine Hepburn -with whom she shared an air of sophistication and distinction.

But, oh, those eyes!

Sigh.

A childlike sweetness is a good description, but without being sappy. Glad you're a fan too!

I'm more of a Hepburn fan than I thought. I've seen lots of these. I think Funny Face is my favorite, though Wait until Dark was rather exciting.

Great idea. I think she had a wonderful combination of childlike sweetness that begged to be hugged, together with a beautiful elegance. Much the combination that formed my first impressions of my own wife.

Audrey Hepburn was one of the greats. She was able to be classy and funny without having to work at it, and two of the films you listed are among my favorites -- Charade and Wait Until Dark. The latter one proves that you don't need to have violence and profanity to make a great thriller. Thanks for reminding me of them! -- Telynor

Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my all-time favorites. My first formal gown was an Edith Head that my mom made for me on her Singer. I guess it became an Edith Head/Bev Williams, lol.

You ought to get several VH's from the guys. Not a loser on this list!

Keep writing . . .
