What excited me the most about this Swiffer Sweeper Vac was that the vacuum feature picks up the larger objects that the original Swiffer model just pushed around. The job could now be performed in just one step instead of two. It's relatively quiet when compared to using a regular vacuum cleaner, only it's much more lightweight and swivels into small and tight areas larger vacuums just can't reach. Apply a clean dry sweeper cloth and you are ready to begin. Only my biggest disappointment so far is the so-called long battery life. If you call 5 minutes or so "long lasting", then okay. But I don't! I can barely get my upstairs living room, hallway, dining area, and kitchen floor vacuumed before the battery starts dying. So I usually end up cleaning downstairs with the original model as it takes a good 16 to 24 hours for the battery to fully recharge. Still, if you have a smaller area to clean, it's perfect. The swivel head turns around chair legs and under low pieces of furniture to pick up hidden dirt, pet hair, etc. We have two cats and three kids, so my floors are constantly in need of a good sweeping. I now use this on a daily basis and have retired my broom and dust pan out of my house. So for the most part, I'm very happy with the performance I've received so far with this Swiffer Sweeper Vac. It's not quite perfect for my needs, but what cleaning tool is? I'd easily give it 5 stars if only the battery life was at least 10 minutes instead of just half that time that I've experienced.
