The Bottom Line The perfect forum for the expression of the meaning of the term soulmate

This is my contribution to the Soulmates write-off sponsored in honor of Valentine's Day by Epinions members Jankp and DavidMac. This poem is dedicated to my best friend Lorri, whose friendship has been a constant source of inspiration to me for the past 20 years although we've spent most of it hundreds of miles apart.

No boundaries bind us to time and space,
Far or near, we're united by love
Beyond words or language our hearts intertwine,
Though separate people, we fit like a glove

Through thick and thin, and all points between
Our loyalty never waivers, our trust ironclad,
A spiritual connection, as deep as the sea
Knits us together in good times and bad

Though the future's uncertain in an unstable world
Our friendship is one, I know will survive
Unconditional and indestructible
Our bond will not shatter, it's fully alive

As we travel through life, my soulmate and I,
Weathering the storms through the eyes of trust,
We've built something beautiful, no artist can paint,
That time cannot tarnish, nor foul weather rust.
