Worst Shopping Experience I've Ever Had

Here is my story... I bought a digital picture frame as a present for my mother from buy.com on Dec 29. Immediately after I ordered it, I realized that it was not the kind my mother was looking for. So I tried to cancel my order. Literally within minutes of placing the order I tried to cancel it but was told that it was already in processing. I send numerous emails to customer service in hopes to cancel the order, but no luck. So I couldn't cancel it or even change the shipping address as my condo does not allow packages to be left there. Due to the holiday and the fact that I had to re-route this package to another address, it finally shows up at my parents' house on Jan. 12. My mother opens the package and notices that the maufacturer's box is basically wrecked and she tries to get the frame to work, but it keeps freezing up. She says she doesn't want it anyway. So I go online and try to submit a request to return, but am told that I can't because its past the 14 day return period - they give you 14 days to return from when the order was placed, even though the product didn't arrive until after 14 days. After unsuccessful attempts to talk to someone on the phone I finally get through to a rep who can barely speak English on Jan. 14. He tells me that since I tried to cancel this order prior that I will be able to return this. He will send me a return confirmation number in 3-5 days. Finally on January 25, I get an email that says that this will not be able to be returned since it is past the 14 days. So now (after $130 spent not to mention many hours of my time wasted) I am stuck with a broken digital picture frame in a smashed up box that they will not accept back. This is the first time I ordered from buy.com and needless to say, it will be the last. I have ordered from Amazon.com probably close to 100 times over the years and have never had an issue at all. Stay away from buy.com as their business practices are the worst I have ever dealt with.
