Boy, oh, boy! Am I glad I purchased this piece of technology! It is the most amazing thing! I love it, love it, love it! The programmable channel lists let you design a program guide for everyone in your family without having to surf through the boring stuff! Go right to the channels *you* want to see! And, with the built in TV Guide, you'll know *exactly* when your favorite show is going to be aired and know the storyline to boot!
Movie rentals are a thing of the past as you can order new releases right from your remote when *you* want to see them and never set foot in a movie store again! Pay-per-view events are await you at the push of a button! All conveiniently charged to your monthly bill!
DirecTV offers a wide variety of programming packages to suit your interests and regularly offers "freeviews" of premium channels for you to try before you buy.
With the Universal remote, you can also change your background colors, channel layouts, set a spending limit for your event purchases, and lock this feature, too. Preselect programs you want to watch and record.
The Customer Service number is hard to get through on...a lot of waiting, but I've never had to call with a problem...just to get general info. The service is worth it, though! It's such a relief from local cable and all the accompanying "blackouts".
