I could never be a Red Sox fan. Not that we don't have a common enemy, so I root for them on a regular basis when they play the Yankees, but I am a real Mets fan.
Now, if you want to talk about the Patriots, that's a different story...

Oh it's frigid up here. Thankfully we have those new plastic pipes. They can freeze and other than it being as annoying as hell, there's no damage. Have to rip out some of the drywall in the basement and put heat tape on them this summer, though.
I love my Mets, and always will. Have to get my cable account up to date so I can get the MLB pack. 10 days to pitchers and catchers!

nice review.. (Reply to this comment)

my Met fan days are back in the early 70's (Wayne Garrett, Felix Milan, Ed Kranepool)...I became a Red Sox fan in '87 when I moved here. Worked out well (being a Mets' fan in '86)!
Anyway, the book sounds good!

Fine review as always. I also enjoy an reviews pertaining to NY players.
I wonder if its as cold here today as it is in your neck of the woods?
Could be a good day to stop into White Castle and have a few belly bombers.
