I won't even embarrass myself by revealing my score. I recall many of the tunes, just not the artists!

Did I say something? I can't remember the 70s! The only one I was able to get without looking was "Short People" by Randy Newman.

Thanks for the comments. I still have not had a chance to see "Van Wilder" yet. I keep putting off renting it but someday soon I hope.

But since I have followed Music for 40 years now it's not a big problem. I love all things Music related, Trivia, facts, figures, stories anything is cool with me. I wish I had a job as a Music Historian.

I remembered a whole lot more of the songs (nearly all of them) than I did of the artists!

Several of the songs I hadn't thought about in awhile, so thanks for bringing back the memories!

Hugs!

Getting warmer.. got six this time! Elvin Bishop, Wild Cherry, Nick Lowe, M, Anita Ward and Samantha Sang. I had my own little disco stage in the summer of '94. I think "Magnet & Steel" is my favorite song out of the list, such a shame that I never actually knew who performed it. The first half of the chorus is just too sweet for words. I guessed on a few, guessed the Stray Cats for "Cat Scratch Fever" (should've known that one though!), Barry White for "Stumblin' In" (wasn't too sure, but they insinuate in the movie Van Wilder that that song is by Barry White, who knows why). For some reason I guessed Gloria Gaynor for "Turn The Beat Around", all the while knowing that she was actually the "I Will Survive" chick and that it was actually Gloria Estefan that did the remake of the song in 1994. But oh well, I wanted to have something there! Oh yeah, and "Magic", I guessed America, but I knew they weren't one hit wonders so oh well. This is quite the educational experience! And here I was thinking I knew everything.
