I have ordered from flowerbud.com several times and had always been extremely pleased with the quality of the flowers and the selection...until my last transaction. Last fall I ordered flowers for a friend who is about seven hours away, then, because of an unexpected occurrence, I happened to go to her home a few days after the flowers arrived. the flowers (stargazer lillies) were beautiful, but several of the stems had been broken in packing.
It was a week or so before I returned home and retrieved the order information. At that time, I emailed flowerbud about the problem, but apparently my email went to the wrong recipient. The next week I emailed again, and this time I received an email from customer service telling me that since it had been something like 15 days since the delivery they would do nothing about the problem (apparently problems must be reported within 10 days-a policy that I was unaware of).
The interesting thing is that I did not expect or want any monetary compensation. I only wanted flowerbud.com to apologize for the problem and assure me that they would take measures to prevent such problems in the future. I will not order from them again.
