I suspect poems and songs here (including mine) tend to get rated generously: Very Helpful meaning Very Good meaning Much Better Than Most Random Schmucks Could Do For Free. Nothing wrong with that, either, except then i want to point out that when i see a poem someone oughtta pay good money for, i hafta leave a comment to say so. Genuinely moving there, stranger.

Mother! It's good to hear from you, man. I'm glad that you like this one...I haven't written much poetry lately, as all of my creative efforts have been going into my band. But, alas, we are having some issues with our lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist, so in a month or two that could be kaput. If that happens, the lead guitarist and I may start our own new project, but we'll just have to see...
...and now I am rambling again (par usual). All I really meant to say was "thanks." So...

I came over to check you out 'cause you stopped by to r/r one of my reviews, and when I saw your profile picture with you doing the "boys will be boys" pose....well, I wasn't prepared to be impressed with the poem.
And I was wrong. Checked out the rest of your profile too! I'm even further impressed!
Now....does your Mom know that you didn't smile nicely for the camera on that profile pic?
