Suncom = Ripoff when closing the account.

I have 3 Suncom phones, 2 share minutes for my spouse and I, 1 is for my adult child. My kid had used the phone for over a year and it was time to move on to another plan. She stopped using the phone over a month ago. When I got around to closing the account I was shocked by Suncom’s lack of customer service. After calling to cancel I found I would have to pay a $200.00 cancellation fee or keep the service for the entire contract. It turns out the contract automatically renews for an entire year. That sucks, and I am sure the Suncom salesman said it was month to month after the first year. Here's the goofy kicker. No one would give me an address to write a letter to cancel the service prior to the next renewal 10 months from now. The customer service clone said I must call exactly 30 days before the renewal date and cancel via the phone. "We get it”, yea, your money!
