Sorry for the delay in responding. It's been a BUSY few months! Yes, I've read many of his books--and while I enjoyed all them, they just didn't fall into my 'top' list. The Selfish Gene was a 'got me hooked' kind of books but since then, I've had a few problems with some of his writing. Not that they're bad, and the problems are my own, but I've started to grow annoyed at the 'dumbing down' of certain ideas. The masses are smarter, I think, then some people believe. :)

Thanks for your note!

This is a great list of science books...Have you ever read anything by Richard Dawkins? Judging by the books you list here, you might enjoy some of his stuff...

Thanks for the comment. I'll get around to full reviews someday, but aren't you the one who told me to review something light?

Now that you have 'teased' us with your short capsule reviews (which
read better than many 'real' reviews on the site) you must 'pleasure us'
with full-blown complete reviews. . .or I will come over and hide your
coffee pot/brewer...

Very nicely done...

Settle down Feynman Fans (Reply to this comment)

I would have put the Lecture series on the list, but that would have taken up three of my nine spots. Not that 12 is any less a random number than 9...

The thing with QED (in addition to, but more so than Character of Physical Law) was that it made my brain whir really, really loud. And we all love whirring brains.

Truth is, you were both right, they should both have been on the list. I could have gone on for a very long time. . .

Thanks for reading! Can't wait to see your lists!

Feynman's Lectures on Physics ahead of QED -- after all, any young investigator needs to know basic physics, but not everyone needs QED.

But I digress. I'll have to put my list in here sometime.

must not have gotten to Feynman's Character of Physical Law, (despite my gushing review!) or it would be on here for sure. ;]

And...I should have thought of this when I read your Fly Pushing, but please read my review entitled Too Many Pages. You will have to laugh.

Thanks for the reliable pleasure of reading your stuff.
