I found the site through www.ShopCartUSA.com which appeared as a "Sponsored Links" in a Google search of the camera I am looking to buy. USA Photo Nation was rated "excellent" by ShopCartUSA. The USA Photo Nation declares the following pasted from their website: "Shop With Confidence! All Of The Products That We Sell Are Brand New, Factory Fresh & Come Supplied With A One Year Warranty!". For cameras, there was even the following add: "Now With Every Camera Or Camcorder Purchase Receive A Free Cleaning Kit & Table Top Tripod!".
I placed my order via their website. A few days later we received a call from Thomas who stated he needed the security code and the customer service phone number from the credit card. These were not requested on their order form. He then proceed to tell about three levels of warranties offered by USA Photo Nation and that the camera would be approximately $390. The web site had advertised $289 + $14 for shipping. I asked about the difference in price and he stated it was for their started kit which included a battery, case, tripod and the one year warranty. Since many of these things were supposed to be included, I said I was only interested in the basic camera at the posted price. He then gave me the same price that he had previously quoted as being charged to my card. I said no, I want the price advertised on the website. He proceeded to say: Well, you know that price is for the Chinese version and all the menus on the camera will be in Chinese. (I was purchasing a Sony camera.) There is no mention of this on their website, even though he assured me it was right there and he was looking at it right now. I have kept saved webpages to show this is a lie.
