Good list overall (Reply to this comment)

This is a very good list; I would just suggest a few changes. I would put Stevie Wonder's "Innervisions" above "Songs in the Key of Life" simply because it is more compact, doesn't ramble as much and there are no wasted tracks. Buth both LP's are terrific. I'm Still in Love With You is terrific though "Call Me," could be justified as well. "Otis Blue" is excellent; some would argue for The Complete Dictionary of Soul" instead....I would put Aretha's "I've Never Loved A Man" LP first and Lady Soul second but all of these are minor quibbles. What's Going On and Superfly have to be on the list as does the Isaac Hayes and James Brown entries.
The only things I would disagree with or replace are "Off The Wall" and Lauren Hill's LP. I too like Off the Wall better than "Thriller," but to me the heyday of Soul LP's was in the early to mid-70's and I would add "Backstabbers" from the O'Jays in instead, though "Off the Wall" would be in my Top 25 LP's. Finally, admitting my bias, I would not put anything in after the mid-80's. Not particularly a Lauren Hill fan anyway. I would include The Spinners self titled LP which included "I'll Be Around" and "Could It Be I'm Falling In Love." Other possibilities would include the Chi-Lites "(For God's Sake) Give More Power To The People," The Dells "There Is" LP from the late 60's or as a darkhorse O.V. Wright's "A Nickel and a Nail and Ace of Spades." But overall, this is a terrific list and most of these LP's should be in every soul fan's music collection.
