Delivery speed - slow, order accuracy - sellers lie, customer service (eBay is terrible and sellers only respond to paypal disputers) and overall satisfaction (user since 1999...quit in 2006).
Prices Vary. Depends on the auction.
Fees
Buyers - None.
Sellers - Unless you item is $20 or higher, selling only makes eBay money.
eBay is interested in only one thing - their profits. See their community board and sellers and buyers consistently bash them.
Feedback
Feedback is deceiving. Someone could have a 6,999 FB (feedback) rating and have tons of negatives.
If you have a bad experience (and you will), file a PayPal complaint. Leaving Negative Feedback (Neg) only invites retailatory FB. Ebay owns PayPal so I'd recommend giving them 15 days to resolve then call your Credit Company and reverse the charge.
Buying
I would only buy from your country. Asian countries seem to have become nothing more than scammers. If an item Amazon sells, go there too. They sell used and new items from individuals too, and Amazon doesn't put up with crooks.
Shill bidding - Sellers or their friends sometimes bid to up the price. I would put the item you want on "watch" then bid at the last moment to win it.
Even sellers have competitive sellers big on each others auctions to sell theirs first.
Funny, the FTC says Ebay is the #1 source of customer complaints.
Ebay was great once when it was a community. Now, it is buyer beware.
A Tip
Email the seller about the item you want. No reply, don't bid on it.
