We sold our house! We sold our house!
With the slump in the market lately, especially in Michigan where jobs are scarce and foreclosures high, we, in some miracle, sold our manufactured home and have about 3 weeks to pack up, fix up and move out!
In the midst of this chaos, we have to repair the wear and tear that our two boys have shown as they have grown up here. Which means alot of painting, sanding, staining, patching, caulking and replacing.
Home Depot and Lowes are now my home away from home!
Treasure Island
To fix up all of the cracks in the ceiling, the chips outside in the sidewalk and driveway, and little things here and there, I had to find something that was multi-useful and strong. And of course, I am like Alice In Wonderland in those Do-It-Yourself warehouses. It is a good thing that I have bright eyes, a soft voice and a pretty smile, as whenever I ask one of the employees, I get service beyond expectation! SO, when I asked what would be good for filling in nail holes and such, I was directed to this product, DAT Crackshot Spackling Paste
Good Lord That's ALOTTA Money!!
This large tub, that you will probably only use about 30% of depending on your home improvement, costs about $15.99, which is fine unless you are like me, doing a faster-than-a-speeding-bullet fix up job. But, we needed it, so I put it in my cart after listening to the guy explain in detail how to use it!!
Where's Waldo?
This paste is a creamy vinyl, and you will want to use it as a filler BEFORE you paint. It changes color once it dries, so you have to paint it unless it matches your wall already. It blends in sidewalks and driveways without a problem. It is easy to apply on plaster, drywall, stone surfaces such as fireplaces, ceilings, bathtubs, sinks and any area that has a ding or a dent. It is gooey, so you want to use a little at a time, and it takes about 2 hours to dry depending on how lightly you apply it. It comes in a half gallon tub and it should be kept in a cool, dry place and away from children. It contains silica, calcium carbonate and attapulgite, so use with caution if you have breathing problems, use a respirator mask.
My Standards And How This Product Measured Up On The Richter Scale
4.9 on the Richter Scale! It works wonderful, and is a fast and easy way to make areas of your home that look a little weathered brand new! With all the work ahead of me, I was glad to find something that is both easy to use and can be applied to many tasks!
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury...What Say You?
Overall verdict? If you are doing major remodeling, or just want to make areas of your home look like they are well taken care of, this is the product you want to buy!! This is good for all people who are in need to fixing up what you would normally replace!
My husband was so proud that I found this product with no help! I suppose I should tell him about the Home Depot guy!
