Having read reviews about a lot of different online camera stores, I knew to be careful. No other product experiences more underhanded tactics. Here's my BuyDig.com experience.
Layout
There are two link bars along the top for general categories and popular subcategories. Under this is the search box. The left side also has easy navigation features. The right and bottom have site features like registration for updates and service areas. The main area is covered with listings of popular items. Go to a product listing, and there are tabs providing additional info. The first (and most useful) is the Packages tab, which recommends sets to save you money on accessories. Others provide additional information, including a reasonable product detail area and attractive product picture. Checkout is the classic process: add to cart, check out, payment, etc. There is no product feedback, so no opportunity to sort according to consumer rating.
Products
Buydig sells digital products and a few home products. They seemingly focus on digital cameras, but mp3 players, printers, and telephones are common items. The selection is great, with an impressive array of geek-toys. It is a great site to have all your digital needs met. You won't have to buy a camera here and go elsewhere to buy the case.
Search
The search and navigation features are nice. Search results tend to return what I am seeking, and navigation bars make finding areas easy. Search results can be sorted as usual but can also be filtered to easily refine your search results.
Customer Service
Their customer service department is open to receive calls 6 days a week, and also provides the option to send email or snailmail. I have only called them once (see below), and was off the phone in less than a minute. Helpful and efficient, though I have no experience with their issue resolution.
Experience
I ordered my camera in a package, which included some desired accessories such as a camera bag and extra memory card. Not only was the camera cheaper than I could find elsewhere, but the package option made the whole purchase even more economical.
After placing my order, I received an email asking me to call and confirm my order. This raised a red flag for me, as this is often how camera shopping problems begin. I called, expecting to be told that I needed to upgrade, add to, or otherwise alter my order. None of this happened. They simply asked me to confirm my shipping address. I told them, and they thanked me and said that was all they needed. The order shipped the next day and arrived within a week (this was all standard shipping). The camera and accessories arrived safely.
Special Note: Some other reviews have mentioned plain graphics or limited site functionality. However, it appears that BuyDig.com has been changed since these were submitted. I am pleased with both the aesthetics and features, so I recommend you check out the site for yourself.
