Worth the hassle. But make no mistake, it can definitely be a hassle.

Vista Print offers a wide spectrum of business and personal printed-paper products. They are best-known for their free business cards which are every bit as nice as what you might get at your local Kinko's. Granted they aren't embossed, they have a Vista Print logo on the back, and the shipping charge is a little more than it actually costs to ship ($8.95 standard shipping on 250 business cards), but you probably couldn't even print 250 cards on your ink jet printer for that little. The cards are on heavy-weight card stock with crystal-clear printing; and you get to customize your order from a selection of pre-designed templates.
If free cards don't satisfy, you have many options. Upgrades range from $2.99 to have logo-free backsides, to $20 or more for custom designs, foil accents, and other premium features. Uploading a graphic incurs a one-time charge of $2.50 and the graphic remains available for later use if you need it. Their logo design wizard can help you invent your identity if you don't have a logo already.
In addition to business cards, you can order customized postcards, letterhead, fliers, magnets, address labels, self-inking stamps ... any kind of printed material an individual or small business can use. A warning though - while some products are very reasonably priced, others seem outrageously expensive. The site is constantly running various specials so the prices are always changing.
Furthermore, if you forget to set email preferences in your account, you will be bombarded with advertisements for discounts on their products. It might be worth turning on email when you need something, but you will want to turn it off once your shopping's done.
Another area of some concern is navigation. It can sometimes be difficult to figure out exactly how to find the specific thing you're looking for. And heaven help you when it's time to check out with your purchase. You will have to click through no less than 5 pages of ads, upsells and promotions to get to the payment page. But once you do, checkout is easy. You'll also be offered various shipping options from 'slow' which takes up to 3 weeks for delivery, to a 3-day turn-around if you're willing to pay for 'rush' service.
Customer service seems mixed. There is an 800 number prominently displayed on the site if you have any problems or questions. The orders I've received have always been in perfect condition, but I understand that this is not the case for everyone. I can't comment further since I've had no direct experience with the call center.
Overall, I'm pleased and impressed with Vista Print. I think they do what they do very well. And if I'm not enthralled with the level of in-your-face advertising they push at their customers, I can at least forgive it since they offer a good product at a reasonable price.
