The Bottom Line A place when you have no where else to go!
Sometimes we wait too late, to say what we never should have waited for.
I recall the many times we did not see eye to eye. Oh we had some battles didn't we? Do you remember the two weeks we went without saying a single word to each other? A mere miracle in itself, living under the same roof.
Did you know how mad I was at you for showing up at that Halloween party all decked out, and all my friends running to you? Oh yeah you were quite the looker, and you sure danced better than I ever could. I wonder was I upset you rained on my parade, or was I jealous? Perhaps a combination.
I know you don't have the same memories of our cruise. We had many laughs, but I also had some very angry moments. Did you see it? My heart was torn so many times because of your words. Once again was I taking your words to mean
something other than what you said? I guess I never asked, and you never told.
Gosh, it's almost summer again, time to open the pool again. I can hear old Mitch Miller and the gang singing, of course our voices blended in so nicely don't ya think?
Of course we had to have hot-dogs grilled out because we all liked them so well, actually I believe it was so no one would have to tolerate something I actually cooked. Every summer you came with new bathing suit in hand, I never saw you swim. You did however soak up the rays, and nap better than anyone I ever saw, sitting on the pool steps. Yes, I have to admit I laughed every time I saw your head nod.
Easter is around the corner too, what color corsage is it I am supposed to wear to church? I never can remember.
Seems these days I cannot remember a lot of things. What worries me more is the things I do remember, the things I should let go. The old hurts, on both our parts. Hurried moments and feeling irritated, when I felt you wanted more time then I was willing to give. What I most want to forget is not being able to remember us really sharing a deep, what's in our heart talks. Why, did we never do that, do you know why now? Why did we walk on eggshells around each other? You know I picked up the phone several times today, to have that conversation we missed, and as always I backed down.
So I again fall back into my safety net, and write to you instead. Now, because I have no other alternative.
It's your birthday, and I can't call, nor surprise you with the visit I had planned. I can't do any of these things, any more. Mom, I miss you, and love you more than I
ever told you. My wish is that heaven is throwing you one heck of a party. Happy Birthday Mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The wishing things were different between us, remains. Sadly enough we will never see eye to eye again.
I go to bed in search of sleep

I can't remember how long to cook a roast
