The Bottom Line ~*~
Ginzo first entered my cyber-life on January 1, 2003 when he left a comment on my poem Sometimes . . . . The poem ends with the lines, "So is it any wonder when I try to define who I am, That . . . I HAVE NO FRIGGIN' IDEA.". Ginzo commented . . . As long as you keep in mind..... by ginzo Most everyone else feels the same way as you, you'll be fine. Nice job. Talented! Supportive AND complimentary, I couldn't help but like this guy right off the bat! HaPpY AnNiVeRsArY, GiNzO ! Here's to many more! I think that next year we should all meet in Bahsten and hoist a pint in honor of your 4th anniversary! On with the memories . . . ~*~*~*~*~ Given that I have a mere 19 postings to my name, I wasn't sure I'd be able to come up with ten memorable comments, but I did, and then some! I also realized that I've become acquainted with some really memorable people. I really enjoy the support and encouragement that the Epinions community gives so freely to one another. This is especially true in Writer's Corner. When you post a poem or story or song lyrics, and you're not sure how it will be received, it's wonderful getting positive feedback. Like the comments on my first attempt at lyrics, What Is And What Could Be. I like it, too, Deb! by katybrighteyes Your "first attempt at lyrics" is excellent! Please write more! Katy :o) and . . . . . . by flamepillar I actually heard music in my mind as I read this one.. that's truly something! Wonderful job! Katybrighteyes, Flamepillar and the others who commented, encouraged me enough to give lyrics another try and I wrote Deanna's Story to which our illustrious host commented . . . Really nice work! by ginzo You'll have to get in touch with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers ! I can see him singing this. Wow, Tom Petty! How awesome is that? The fact that someone could actually associate my lyrics with an actual singer just floored me. Thanks again, Ginzo. I was really flattered when I caught the attention of one of the most loved and respected members of the Epinions community, Lorace. She left a comment on Words Are My Nightmare. Deb by lorace Words seem to be your friends, too! You use them beautifully! Enjoyed this, Lorace Thank you, Lorace. That means a lot to me. I consider it quite a compliment, coming from you. I received the most comments on a tribute poem I wrote for a friend of mine Gifts He Was Given. Somewhere in the middle of the 36 comments posted, Ginzo wrote . . . Re: Re: Re: Beautiful poem! by ginzo I left a comment below and I'll repeat it: "Re: Re: Re: Beautiful poem! (Delete your comment) by ginzo You should of seen me at my best friends bachelor party when the belly dancer didn't show up!" Now did anybody get that ???? I'll explain. I had to put on a bikini and wig and dance for everyone. It wasn't pretty! To which I replied . . . Re: Re: Re: Re: Beautiful poem! by RedDiva Yep, I think we were all trying to keep that picture out of our heads (bet U looked purty). You gotta be careful, though. Those guys get their beer goggles on and you might look like someone they want to take home! =) Only kidding cutie! ~ Deb My good friend Katybrighteyes added . . . Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Beautiful poem! by katybrighteyes Hey, Deb... He's already been dancing with a guy in drag. Think he's trying to tell us something? Neener, Ginzo! Katy Yet another friend, AinsleyJo continued with . . . This Could Apply To Many!!! by AinsleyJo Your words could apply to many around here--and they certainly apply to Ginzo & Flame!!! Jennifer Re: Re: Good food for thought... by AinsleyJo And I want to thank you for the way you lived these beautiful words in the comment section of my latest Epinion!!! This was very brave and very much appreciated! As for what you've written here, I've bookmarked it in my AOL favorites section so that I can easily find it to slip into IMs, e-mail, greeting cards, etc. Bless You! AJ :o) Oooooooooooooo by _haggis_ Did you curse, Because those roses have thorns? Or did you rejoice, Because the thorns have roses? I liked this a lot. You're good. More. More Haggis Thank you all so very much! It's so great knowing that someone has my poem hanging in their home, and yet another has it bookmarked for future use. It's certainly heartwarming to know that I wrote something that was inspirational to other people. To quote a line from When Harry Met Sally, "No one's ever quoted me to me before." I'd like to conclude this little walk down memory lane with my #1 all time favorite comment from one of my #1 all time favorite people Katybrighteyes. She wrote this one on an actual product review (yes, I do those too, occasionally) called To Tone Or Not To Tone . . . Wait, What Was The Question? 35!?? by katybrighteyes Get outta here, girl. I've seen pictures of you, and I thought you were in your 20s. Glad you enjoyed this toner...I enjoyed reading about it! Katy Katy, you are too good to be true! Thanks, girl! And there you have it, my top 15 or so most memorable comments. There are so many more I would have liked to mention. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read, rate and comment on my writing. I'm thankful for every single one of you. I truly enjoy being a part of the Epinions community. Everyone is so supportive and helpful and full of creativity and great advice! Special thanks to Ginzo for inviting me to participate in this fabulous write off. This was a very good idea and I look forward to doing it again next year. ~*~*~*~*~ Thanks for reading!
