The Bottom Line I know many people will disagree with me on this list, but these are simply the movies that scared me.

This is a top ten list of movies that scared me. I know that most people have movies like "psycho","halloween","exorcist", and "friday the 13th" on their lists, but none of these really scared me. So here it is in no particular order:

1."The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"
I just recently saw this movie for the first time and it really scared me. The whole concept of being in the middle of nowhere, with nobody around to help you is scary enough. The scene at the table, with the old man trying to hit the girl on the head, was so disturbing. I felt weird even watching it.

2."The Shining"
I can watch this movie over and over, and it scares me every time. The little girls in the hallway, the woman in the bathroom, Jack Nicholson. This is some freaky stuff, and once again...being stuck in the middle of nowhere, with nobody around to help you.

3."Pet Sematary"
I first saw this movie when I was little. I remember sitting with the lights off and being so terrified. Pascow scared me, and Zelda gave me nightmares. I recently made a friend watch this movie because she hadn't seen it, and i was sure she would be scared. She wasn't scared. She thought it was stupid. That just shows that some movies are scarier when you're a kid.

4."The Ring"
This movie just recently came out, and is now on video. I saw it in the theater, and I was so scared by the end of the film. It is very visually scary, and psychological. This movie stayed with me for days after seeing it.

5."Signs"
This is another very recent film by M. Night Shyamalan. It's about crop circles and aliens taking over. This was one of those movies where nobody dies, and there's no blood, but you're there with this family experiencing their fear. It reminded me of Night of the living dead, since these people are stuck inside their house while the enemy is trying to get in. One thing about this movie is that it's only scary the first time you see it.

6."The sixth sense"
Here's another M. Night Shyamalan movie that really got me on the edge of my seat. A little boy that sees dead people? That's creepy. This movie also is only scary the first time that you watch it.

7."The Blair Witch Project"
I know a lot of people disagree on this one, but I had to list it because it scared the hell out of me. I saw it when it first opened in theaters, and I was one of the naive people that didn't know exactly what this was all about, or if it was real. When I left the theater, I remember hurrying to my car, because I was so scared. Seeing this movie now, I think it's stupid, but that first time was memorable.

8."Candyman"
I saw this movie when I was in junior high, and when it was over there was no way I was going to say "candyman" in the mirror 3 times. I thought the part in the parking garage was definately the scariest part.

9."Hellraiser 2"
I think this is the one I'm thinking of. A skinless guy in the attic, feeding on people so he can become whole. good stuff. I saw this also when I was young, and pinhead was so terrifying.

10."Misery"
Kathy Bates was so good in this movie as a creepy, psycho fan. You almost felt bad for her, until she broke the guys' feet. This is a great movie that shows that people can be scarier than monsters.
