Check out the movie "I think I Do" as well. Really nice romantic comedy that you just can't help but feel good about. No matter how many times I see it, it still makes me laugh.

Glad to see Hedwig and Boys Don't Cry here, even on Honorable Mention; i haven't seen most of the ones you pick, but you make good cases.
Have you seen the recent (2001?) gay movie All Over the Guy? Very fetching and fun romantic comedy. I realize your point is that these movies should be important; to me, there's something important about a good, mainstream romantic comedy that happens to be about a gay couple. It's a new possibility.

Also, if you are looking for gay content in movies go look at DavidK93's reviews (http://www.epinions.com/user-davidk93), which include Queerness Factor. They are pretty good.
