I have had fits and stops of wanting a marine aquarium. The cost hasn't been the key stopper, but rather the thought of failure after making the time and dollar investment. This excellent treatise gets me interested once again.

As both my husband and I are new to having a small fw tank, I wish we'd had a guide like this...even though it is a guide for setting up a Marine aquarium, it is also helpful overall for the newbie.
Wonderful review, I look forward to reading your future reviews, and hope some will continue to be re fish and fish care :)

... being new here, it's nice to get feedback and "see a friendly face" so soon. I've found that one of the hardest things about starting out in the fish hobby, especially with a marine tank, is getting to the right informational resources, so I hope I helped in that regard (if anyone needs more help on a great site, I highly recommend ReefCentral).

I wish this had been written when I set up my first Marine Tank, instead I did it the old fashioned way, trial and error.

Very detailed and well written review. After much trial and error, I myself compromised and set up a fresh water aquarium. Now I have an 18" temperamental cat fish and a 15" demon of a blue zebra fish that eats everything including stray fingers.
