A Really.... (Reply to this comment)

touching piece. I have also tried to save all kinds of wildlife as a child and an adult. God's creatures are a gift to us all. Glad to read all went well with your wife. Blessings to both of you.

and a touching story as well. I am sorry I am late to rate. My computer had a bug, and was not cooperating.
Hope Kathy is getting well fast, and that all is well with all of you.

Thanks Lorace,
I am not sure I really want to know about the Maple tree. I am happy as long as it is living in my dreams.
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

of all the entries. What a lovely (although a little bit sad) story! I like the way it turns from a tragedy into a message of hope. Jude

Dan, your wife's lucky to have you. Hope the surgery is a walk in the park, hehe.
Disregard the title, it appeared mysteriously and won't leave, but it's my Christmas poem title if you're interested and posted here.

Although I think most of us did something similar as a child. I know many a creature is buried in a back garden, in a town in England.
Prayers coming for Tuesday. I just know everything will go well.
Hugs,
Susie.

Well Dan (Reply to this comment)
by 2buzy
you could have grown up in my house! My kids are always bringing in hurt animals ~ caught by the dog or cats, fallen from a tree etc and try to nurse them back to health.
While some do die, they have saved a squirrel, a snakes and many birds and bunnies. They always have such a great feeling releasing them when they are well enough to go!
I look forward to reading about how well the surgery went :-)

...that you were the sensitive type. That comes through so clearly in your writing and your care of Kathie. :) She is a very lucky lady.
I'm so glad that surgery time is almost here...life will be so much more comfortable with that out of the way. I hope that she hasn't been hurting too much during this wait.
My thoughts and prayers remain with both of you...oh and with Ryan too! God Bless.......kath

How beautiful (Reply to this comment)

Dan, this was so neat! It reminds me of a movie I saw, something about a Red Fern. What a nice experience. Wish you could find out about the maple tree!
Tell Kathie I remember her every day and I'm so glad that Tuesday is almost here, because I always found the waiting to be the hardest part of any surgical experience.
Bless you guys cause you sure bless all of us.

What a beautiful story. And of course, sensitive as I am, the tribute to Kathy brought tears to my eyes. You two are very special and are both in my thoughts and prayers. We'll be in the operating room with her! jo
