I picked up this book a couple of years ago when my place of employment had a fitness center. Someone had told me that they lost weight so I figured "why not?" Well, I am not a fitness center geek. I like computers. I felt a little out of place...ok.. ALOT out of place at the gym. I took one week of riding the exercise bike to watch how everyone else was using the equipment. In that amount of time I began reading the book.
The book was motivational with good stories and the wording to help you look deep within yourself. I decided to start small with a small change in diet and an attempt at the weights. I did ok, so the second week I was more stringent on myself. After 3 months I had lost 30lbs! I looked and felt great. People noticed and I had many good things to say.
Then, I changed jobs and I had no fitness center. I had no gym nearby, no equipment at home...and 2 kids. My lunch was no longer a place for me to work out. I was going to more lunches with coworkers and began to put on the pounds.
Now, here I am, 2 years later, picking up the same book again---but find it difficult without the right equipment. I really KNOW this plan works, but if you do not carve out the time for:
1) workout
2) rereading the book to keep yourself inspired
3) preparing your balanced protein meals
4) making shakes .... which I did not do. I needed to save the money for formula...not shakes! LOL!
I will start this program again, but I'm afraid I will need to be creative with weight training and cardio now that I do not have a gym or daycare when I get home. I'll never again take a fitness center at work foregranted!
If you have the time and the place...go for it! You will not disappointed!!!
