never being able to see Ebbetts Field, The Polo Grounds, Crosley Field. That is why I took the family to Tiger Stadium and County Stadium before they were closed. Great review, nice memories. JBD

talked a lot about the Dodgers too. They were from Ridgewood but were always Dodger fans. Some of my best memories (besides her sauerbraten) were of listening to her talk about listening to the games on the radio. Amazing what sticks with us, isn't it?

...how very happy I've been that my...errrr, The Dodgers went west and landed less than an hour from my house.
My hubby and I are big fans of The Dodgers...although having now moved to Wisconsin, it is hard to catch their games. I still love them and follow along through the season, but I have to confess it is much harder to get as involved when there is no chance of making one of the games during the season. I love Dodger Stadium and all of the wonderful games I viewed there.
Thanks for a very heartfelt and warm review...although my dad wasn't from New York...some of the phrases sound about the same. :)
