Listen To The Music!!! (Reply to this comment)
by AinsleyJo
Now, I'll have Listen To The Music! playing in my head for at least part of the day!
I'd forgotten about Jesus Is Just All Right! Thanks for reminding me of it, as I can remember hearing it around college!
I'd talk more, but I've gotta go potty!
It's that time of the month, and this is one of the times when it's accompanied by the trots!!!
Trotting Off!

You know... (Reply to this comment)

... when I first saw these guys, they didn't impress me. I liked some of their music, but didn't appreciate them as musicians. Then I saw them perform live about a decade ago and they blew me away --- they are fine vocalists and musicians; especially impressive as a live act.
Great review.
Don :)

I never realized how much music these guys actually made until I started working UIM (under the influence of Muzak)! They do some of the greatest songs that get played on there. I also didn't realize how much of a transformation the band went through from start to finish; that's some interesting stuff. I think my favorite track by them is still the old classic "What A Fool Believes", which I used to stupidly call "Would A Fool Believe". My favorite song that any of the guys were involved with has to be "This Is It" with Kenny Loggins. Brilliant musicianship and kickassness, a rare combo. The use of cymbals is also great.
If music be the nectar of the gods, play on!

I'll try almost anything from POP to ROCK to COUNTRY to EASY LISTENING and almost everything in between. Don't do RAP/HIP HOP because that's not MUSIC just NOISE. I'd do BIG BANDS OR CLASSICAL even because I have many CD's in there as well just not much knowledge in those areas. I just might do a Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison someday because I have a lots of those CD's too.

right on.........
well, i too have a mark shrine, not
as elaborate as yours, (yes, i am jealous)
but it consists of an autographed 8x10,
an autographed rookie card in a packers uniform,
6 starting line up figures, a mcfarlane figure, and a whole bunch of cards, and mugs, jugs, glasses and cups with jag stuff on them.....black & teal, the real deal.....i hope they get back on track soon....
p.s....i dig the diversity in your musical taste !

I have always been a BIG Mark FAN myself. I not only have been a member of his FAN Club for years but I have a ton of his stuff in the house such as football cards, 3 signed by him, t-shirts, ball caps, beanie babies and starting lineup figures including the one in his University of Washington Huskies Uniform wearing #11 then.

great write up..........
i read it twice because of its content.
you brought up a lot of historical reminders,
taught me a few things and impelled me to pull my
doobie bros cds off the shelf and into the player.
you rock..........
go jags.....(i've been a HUGE mark brunell fan since his days at washington st.)
peace !
