When I first wanted to have my own recorder I was so close to buying this Teac 4x/12x. I had the money for it and I heard that it makes you happy with every cd you burn. At last moment I decided for more speed and bought a PlexWriter 8/4/32. I think I made a very good choice. But I also like Teac 4x/12x. It a "never let go" drive.
I don't think you can find somwhere to buy this CDR, but if you have one you know what I'm talkin about.
Of course this drive was outdated by more recent Teac writers, but it still can give you quality CD's.
The thing is that my opinion is the fastest CD drives go, the least error correction thay made and they'll force you to use only best and high-priced media. I think that a 24-32x true speed reading drive and a 4x CDRW is best for home use.
