Boring? Hardly... (Reply to this comment)
by marybatson
"I had a psychologist tell me that an extrovert needs to be around people to recharge themselves and be able to be quiet and alone and an introvert needed alone time in order to recharge and go out be with others."
Yep! That's me. I too am very comfortable being a "home body".
Congratulation on quiting smoking, and being sober. These a HUGE accomplishments. Be proud! I know I am proud of you!
Great contribution!

sharing your life and the successes you've made. It is amazing? Sober, nonsmoker, and working with couples at church. So neat and cool, I'm so happy for you! I have to ask, did you go through the annulment process? It sounds like you're Catholic. Please email me with your thought, if this was the case, as I have a friend thinking about the process and a female input would be helpful. Great review, Kath, thank you!

How much you think you can tell about a person from their picture, and the words they write - It's amazing how wrong you can be. You seem to have worked out a tremendous amount of complexities and overcome quite a few obstacles....Keep on pushing!

Bored to Tears? No... (Reply to this comment)

Kath,
I enjoyed learning more about you. It sounds like you've had a very interesting life. I've never been off the Eastern seaboard and haven't even flown in a plane before! How's that for boring?

Since We Have This Nifty Writer's Corner Now. . . (Reply to this comment)
by AinsleyJo
. . .you should write a series on how you came all the way from California to live in Wisconsin, and how much of your family had moved there even before you did.
Tell about life in California--what made you tired of it and what you still miss about it.
Then, share your life in Wisconsin--what makes this a state you'd like to spend the rest of your life in, and what you wish might be changed about it.
Tell about preparing to leave, time on the road, arriving, settling in, etc.
I don't know about everybody else, but I could really eat something like this up--and I'm sure I'm not the only one!!!
Just do it!!!
Hugs!

I feel I fall far short in these accomplishments and have really never done anything that wouldnt bore others to tears.
After writing your 20 accomplishments, I'm not quite sure why you left this line in your opinion??
Wonderful job, Mark

My Sweet Kathy! (Reply to this comment)

I always knew you had a kind heart. Michael and Melissa are tops too.
I guess we are kindred spirits as I lost my mother in 1998. Being the baby in the family, it was really hard on me. But life does indeed go on. Belief in a Higher spirit also helped me to realize they are not suffering any more.
This review was one of the best reviews I have read in Epinions! Great job!

This was absolutely wonderful getting to know the "real" you. I wish Wisconsin wasn't so far away, I am desperately looking for someone I can trust to watch my 19-month old during the day, you would be perfect (ever thought about moving to Kentucky???)
Anyway, I really enjoyed reading your list!!

It's fun finding out new things about people we've 'known' for a long time...what a great way to do it.

But I am so enjoying these and thanks for sharing.
Congrats on your sobriety and your being smoke free. Gosh you are a grandmother. I don't think I knew that or much else you wrote! I have said a couple of time that if we knew more about the person behind the screen maybe we wouldn't be so hard on each other. jo

I can't believe how so many of us have similar traits. The punctuality thing is an obsession with me.
Mine will be coming up in a week or two.
Thanks for sharing this very personal information with us.

That I could possibly admire you any more than I already do, Kath, but so much in your Review pushed me even deeper into the caring about you.
You've always come across as being the most gentle of persons, and I greatly admire all you've been through and survived to get to where you are.
Keep on being wrapped in those arms!
This has been the greatest writeoff, hasn't it?
Thanks so much,

on quitting cigs and alcohol. You forgot to mention that you write some of the best children's book reviews on the site. They're really great and well thought out.
Glad to have you in Wisconsin, too. This is a place where you can experience all four seasons in spades.

We have many things in common. I've told folks if I'm not there on time call the hospitals cause something is really wrong.
I think we never believe what we have to say is interesting or important. Think again my friend this review was both. Thank you for sharing.
