A small emendation: Max Schreck was the actual stage name of the actor who played the title role in F.W. Murnau's NOSFERATU.

I knew that. Honestly I did. I must have fallen asleep on my keyboard and accidentally typed out this incorrect fact. So much for Nyquil.

Well done, Simply Crispy. I have been in touch with the Oxford Press, and they ar interested in bringing our reference work out under the title of BIGGAR'S DICTIONARY OF FILM.

A small emendation: Max Schreck was the actual stage name of the actor who played the title role in F.W. Murnau's NOSFERATU.

As I say, otherwise well done.

Chrisp-

You have no idea how much of a headache that comment was to read

Au contraire. I know exactly how much of a headache it was to read. And don't worry about how much work I put into bolding all those N's. The Find-Replace function on my MS-Word did the job in no seconds flat.

I think I'm going to have to force myself to read one of your reviews as punishment

I think you've got that backwards, dear. The punishment would be depriving yourself of ever reading any of my reviews again. That would truly be a shame… for you.

My U's, as you know by now, are up.

You have no idea how much of a headache that comment was to read. Honestly, I cannot believe you took the time and effort to highlight every letter 'n'. But seeing as you did it for my benefit, I can only approve.

Nevada's a state, ya daft git.

Y'know, I actually know that. In fact, I'm so confused as to why I put 'city' that I think I'm going to have to force myself to read one of your reviews as punishment ;-) But like whenever I get anything wrong, I'm just going to fall back on the age-old "who cares?" argument.

As for Chris Penn, well I know that the guy's done great films, but that would have kinda stepped on my point really. So again, I offer you my "who cares?" POV.

Yes, give me your U's asap. I need your U's.

Or was there no room for 'humour' in this exercise

Apparently not, Tom me ol' mucker. Mind you, what did I say about poiting out omissions? Can't be expected to remember them all, can we? Hmmm?

you said...
"Remember, we are but one person. . .

'We are Film, you will be assimilated, resistance is futile... '

you said...
"Neighbor; How American’s spell the word ‘neighbour’, puzzlingly dropping the ‘u’. See also ‘harbor’, ‘favor’ and ‘honor’. So now you know."

And I thought 'humor' also. Or was there no room for 'humour' in this exercise ??

Very..nicely..done Chris...

Nevada; American City that…

Nevada's a state, ya daft git.

Nnep; backwards spelling of Penn, the surname of two acting brothers who couldn’t be further apart in terms of quality if they tried,

Oh, I don't know about that. Sure, Chris Penn sucks on the big suckball more often than not (and good gosh has he gotten fat), but I thought him quite righteous in Reservoir Dogs (esp. on the new DVD, where his story about Lawrence Tierney is worth the price of admission by itself). And, if memory serves, he did fine job moving the plot from one nude scene to the next in The Wild Life (Cameron Crowe's second screenplay, after Fast Times at Ridgemont High).

Not Helpful; what this editorial probably is. Also, a rating usually related to the works of Epinionater Mfunk75. Probably.

Don't tempt me, bud. You don't want my wrath. ;)

Jeepers. If the host of the damn write-off is going to jump the gun, I best get my butt in gear and finish up the U's pronto.

This is fantastic, and makes mine look like crap. Thanks a lot, jerk!

Erm... I'm sorry? What can I do except apologise for your unrivalled crapness, Doc?

LOL. Kidding. Please don't get me.

I'll get my revenge during next years awards show...

That gives me eight months to build myself up in order to protect myself. Or I could just buy a gun. Bring it on!

dictionary reading is a natural sedative

Strangely, with me it actually acts as more of a laxative on my person. No idea why.

Chris,

Great job with the letter "N" and including Nyquil, since dictionary reading is a natural sedative. Sheila
