The Bottom Line If I wore a hat, it would be off to George (aka Corpgent) for getting this Kieli-inspired W/O off the ground!

I've read so many of the entries in this write-off, some of them are beginning to blur together in my mind. I wish I could say things blurring together in my mind was a rare occurrence, but I'm afraid I cannot.

I have been so impressed with ALL that I've read; so much so, in fact, that I'm almost too intimidated to join in.

Before I lose my nerve, here are my 20 facts, in no particular order of importance:

1. On April 17th I celebrated my first annual 39th birthday. (I'm a big Jack Benny fan, and I intend to follow in his footsteps and be 39 from now on!)

2. My parents met on a blind date and have now been married for over 43 years. My father is a retired attorney; Mom was a school teacher and then a stay-at-home Mom. After she became a grandmother, Mom went back to school to earn her Master's in Library Science, and she now works as a librarian. (She is an inspiration to me!)

3. I have two brothers. One is 18-mos. older than me, and the other is 14-mos. younger than me. We were all accidents.

4. I've lived my entire life in the state of California; the first ten years in San Jose, and the rest in various areas surrounding Los Angeles (Glendale, Northridge, Valencia, etc.).

5. The longest I've ever been out of California was for a three week stretch in 1986. (I do leave the state occasionally -- I've traveled to many parts of the U.S. and to Europe...but, just not for l-o-n-g vacations!)

6. I'm politically and socially conservative, and fiercely loyal to my friends, family and what I know to be True.

7. I was raised Roman Catholic and went to church every Sunday without fail. In spite of that, I don't think I understood my faith at all until I was 18. I now attend a non-denominational, Protestant church and my faith is extremely important to me.

8. My husband and I met at church while we were both still in college. He's my best friend and my knight in shining armor. We've been married for 15 years, and we have three daughters, ages 12, 10 and 8. Some of the best days of my life have been spent at home with these four wonderful people.

9. If you don't count baby-sitting, my first job was scooping ice cream at a local Baskin Robbins.

10. I love to sing, and I performed in children's choirs, school choirs and community theater musicals from the time I was in elementary school, up through my freshman year of college.

11. I attended Pepperdine University and lived on that beautiful Malibu campus for four years. I majored in telecommunications and spent a lot of time at the school's TV and radio stations and not enough time at the beach!

12. I won an Academy of Television Arts and Sciences internship my senior year, and after graduation I worked in the KCBS-TV news library for a summer before taking a job as a "page" at CBS Television City. Both were really fun jobs, but the income was next-to-nothing.

13. After CBS, I worked in "show business" for a while longer and decided it wasn't for me. I wasn't, and would never be, dedicated enough to work the insane hours necessary...

14....but I carry with me some great memories of those years. As a page, I loved meeting people from all over the country (and many from different parts of the world) who came to see shows like The Price Is Right and Newhart. It was fun watching the soaps being taped while I covered the phones on set. I had a blast working the Grammy's one year. And I got to meet people like Mikhail Baryshnikov, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and others.

15. Dolly Parton once told me I'm "purty."

16. I never had a filling or a cavity until I reached the age of 34. The silly cavity turned into a root canal. UGH!

17. I'm left-handed, 5' tall and 100#...but don't let my size fool you. I'm FEISTY.

18. I love to read. Books, magazines, newspapers -- you name it. I love to write almost as much as I love to read! My other hobbies: hiking, gardening, and scrapbooking.

19. We have a sheltie named Grisham who is not long for this world. We adopted him almost four years ago after our other dog, Clancy, died unexpectedly.

20. I'm a "mutt" mix of ancestry: Portuguese, English/Welsh, German, and Austrian. My dad is a BIG genealogy nut and has his own site detailing our "roots". Among my famous, albeit distant, relatives: Winston Churchill, Richard Nixon and Hugh Hefner.

There you go....more than you ever wanted to know about AEOakley, aka Ann. Thanks, George, for the fun. Hope you don't mind me crashing in!
