Yes, I believe that Jean-Luc would have ordered me off his bridge for wanting more Q. I was just getting used to that nice captains chair, too ;)

Thanks for your comment!

and I can think of a few more choice words a certain starship captain might have used to describe him :-)

I really had to force myself not to use the "What a waste it is to lose one's mind......." line. I haven't actually heard anything about the man in some time - a fact for which I am as grateful as you.

Loved Q. Loved C even more, if only because it (quite understandably) had more entries.

As you're painfully aware by now, I'm not normally one to provide relevant criticism, but in this case, I really do think you should consider including "Q: Perennial, delightfully befuddled James Bond gadget guy, played by Desmond Llewellyn, in 17 Bond films between 1963 and 1999. Although there were several Bonds, there was only one Q."

Now, see, I would have had to include Cook who beat pig-baby in my C entry, but the necessity of including an extended piece on Cher took up all the available space. Sacrifices, everywhere are sacrifices for the sake of art......

Sue (lets go with the rooster patterned burner covers. Maybe if we get them from Lillian Vernon, we can get a couple protective vinyl rain hats - I don't want to endanger my home permanent!)

Sue,

Queen of Hearts - Nastiest of the nasty characters met by Alice during her adventure in wonderland. The Lewis Carroll novel has been adapted for the screen countless times and in countless forms, never truly capturing the feel of the written story, which might best be termed “hallucinatory”.

What about the cook who peppered and beat the pig-baby? There's no excuse for porcine-child abuse, you know.

Great list! You are indeed the quintessential reviewer of all things Q.

Jesus, Chris, those must be some impressive farts. I sort of wish that we had a queen, I would love to be "Dame Sue".

I agree wholeheartedly about Stallone and Arnie. I should add an entry entitled Quit before you torture us.

Fun W/O Crispy - both to read and participate in - thanks for hosting!

"Monarch whose dwindling role in British politics includes the “knighting” of various actors"

Why is it that you Americans can see this, but the British public can't? They're about as relevant to society as one of my farts.

The rest of it was good too. I only wish actors like Arnie and Sly Stallone had heeded the "quit while you're ahead" entry. preferably before their careers even started.

Picky, picky, picky.

Would you have had me leave out something of significant value such as Queensland Tick Typhus in favor of a movie?!? Are you mad??? That's my favorite entry!

Tom and Jerry, eh? Not even good on the drunk girls? It's a sad world when you can't pick up chicks with cartoon names.

I most certainly would have added Quiller Memorandum, if I had any idea what that is. I think I am Q deficient.

My goodness, we are all so quick to point out the shortcomings and omissions of others. We should be more accepting and respectful of our fellow writers . . .

Hey! How could you leave out the 1951 version of Quo Vadis which brought us the stirring emoting of Robert Taylor and Deborah Kerr? Are you crazy !?!?

you said...
"Most viewers have yet to figure out which is Tom and which is Jerry."

I had a college roommate named 'Jerry'. Yes, 'Tom and Jerry'. Was useless for picking up chicks.

Very..nicely..done !!

Sue-

Quintessential quantitation of the 'Q' quorum. Quite a quip-filled queue, [e]qually quixotic and quirky.

I’d have added Quick and the Dead, The, if it were my list. Then again, my list was on the letter 'U', so that film doesn't really work, now does it?

Good job with a tough letter. The only thing I would have added is "Quiller Memorandum." Best wishes. Sheila
