I have the older (maybe the first 2805?)an s402, or at least the first with the 3D graphics. This was my best choice on paper/store visits as well. I agree about battery life and no hot swappable bays (period!) so no (dearly needed) second battery. Glad to hear you've got 2.5 hrs out of yours, I can't get an hour. Sometimes mine hits glitches, but seems to pretty much stack up to yours. DVD performance could be better. i've had mine since April, as soon as it hit CompUSA.

This sounds fabulous. I have so many friends saying "this" laptop or "that" laptop.
I've heard so little of Toshiba. And to think . . . theirs is king of the hill!
