| shanaduck's Full Review: Bose Lifestyle 3 Micro Audio System |
We have a large family room, and the Bose Lifestyle 3, with woofer and 2 teacup speakers easily handles sound for the room, and adequate spillover to adjacent kitchen and patio on either side.
I had originally asked my husband for a Bose Wave Radio, and he bought this for me instead, I got over the disappointment pretty quickly!! The stereo is completely unobtrusive, you have to be paying attention to notice it, with the speakers high on a plant shelf, most people don't even know where the great sound is coming from. The woofer is hidden behind the sofa (this is the suggested spot for it).
The unit handles loud volumes VERY well, gives great sound with little distortion even when the volume is really kicked up.
The only regret I have is that we never bought the CD changer that goes with the system - kind of a pain to only play one CD at a time, but we could remedy this by buying a changer, that I believe can be hidden as well.
When shopping for a stereo system for the home, this unit really deserves a listen, even though the price may be high, the quality supports the price. We love the remote that works through walls, and have had zero repair issues in the 4 years we have had the unit.
