Re: I love Arkansas... (Reply to this comment)

What? Compliments being exchanged between Texans and Arkansans? Heresy!
I still maintain the Dallas-Fort Worth area is fantastic. I love the way the population isn't concentrated into a small area, yet there's plenty to see and do around there. There are a lot of people there, but there's so much space that it doesn't exactly feel like it.

I love Arkansas... (Reply to this comment)

Something most Texans won't admit...
I was born and raised in Texarkana (Texas side). My absolute, most favorite place to vacation is Brady Mountain (any part of Lake Ouachita). You live in one of the most beautiful states in the union, dude.

Yep. It keeps life interesting, Katy.
Never a dull moment around our house.
And, now we have one-day old kittens crawling around our place.
See? There's always something happening.

Ah! My wife is a Cowboys fan, yet I married her, anyway :)
Isn't it odd how people can get so wrapped up in football? I mean, the world doesn't ride on whether the Broncos win or lose, yet I tend to treat games like they're important. Strange.
And, I still kinda miss the XFL.

But she pestered me until I answered her!
My ex never asked if anything ever made her butt look big. That's probably because she weighed around 90 pounds.
And, my current wife still confuses me.

I guess I will just have to get over the Bronco thing ;)! I picked the Cowboys when I was like 3 or something and we lived in Tx. I always cheered for the team that wore white, which for the most part was the Cowboys! I lived in Denver for a long time. Loved going to the games but rarely cheered for them!
My husband loves that quality time with my daughter too! I don't know which is harder to get away from the t.v.!

Spanish would be very useful around Northwest Arkansas these days. My town, Springdale, is over 20 percent Latino now, and the ability to speak Spanish would be a very good skill for a reporter to have.
Daylight savings time usually messes with me for at least two weeks. Let's move the clocks ahead half an hour and just leave the things there. Sounds like a good plan to me.

And I wish I'd learned Spanish, too.

Thanks for hosting this thing. I've learned a lot about my fellow Epinionators through this, and it's been a true kick.
I try to be a good father, but I sometimes wonder just what the hell I'm doing. And, yes cartoons are great fun.
Indeed, I've been amazed at the things some people will ask. Hell, I'm sometimes amazed at the things I've asked people through the years.

Not difficult to understand, Marcy? Ah, I beg to differ.
The classic example has to do with my ex-wife. I'll use dresses in this example, although the scenario played out several times with wedding inviations, cars or whatever else.
She once held up two dresses -- a blue one and a red one.
"Which one do you like?" she asked.
"They're both fine."
"No, really. Which one do you like."
"I like both of them."
"But, certainly, you must prefer one or the other."
"No, I like both of them."
"Choose one! I need to wear one of these tonight, and I can't make up my mind."
"Okay. Well, I guess I like the blue one better."
"What's wrong with the red one? Why do you hate the red one? I'm wearing the red one!"
If that's not difficult to understand, I don't know what is.

Why, you're just being nutty! "A-R-T?" More like "U-C-K," but I suppose you already knew that and are just pulling ol' Hawg's leg.
Yep, I read yours. But, I don't want to beat up on anyone! I prefer to be gruff but loveable, kind of like the fellows in Grumpy old Men.
I can't deal with a surgical mask. It just feels wrong somehow. Besides, do you know any superheroes who wore a surgical mask? No? That's what I thought.
You'd better hurry up on that appointment with mom. She ought to be retiring in a few years for a long, well-deserved rest.
A funny story about my Mom. A few years ago, she decided she should buy a farm. I was talking to my Dad and said, "Aren't you worried? Mom wants to buy a farm!"
He said, "Son, I've been listening to one screwball idea after another from your mother for 35 years now. She'll be on to something else in a week."
He was right.

Hmmmm. Maybe I should make an appointment with your mom to find out what the hell is wrong with me. *twitch* I have such a conflicted personality. *tic*
Hey, Ethan. I have some of those little blue surgical masks you can wear while mowing. Ya want some? They look really cool, and I promise your neighbors won't make fun of you while you're wearing 'em.
Man, oh, man. You've got issues. Numbers 16 and 17. Stop by and read MY write-off piece. You'll quickly learn what to do with those people.

"Purrl," huh? I like it! Particularly if you roll the "r" in it. My belief is you can name a cat whatever you want. It won't come when called, anyway.
Yes, the Pittsburgh Pirates. I always know it's spring when the Pirates are wandering around a baseball field without a clue or purpose. Still, I root for them.

Well, Ethan, (Reply to this comment)

you root for the Pittsburgh Pirates . . . one third of the Black and Gold -- so you aren't all bad! ;) I'm a 3 for 3 fan of the trio, and my husband chose to root for the Steelers as a kid because of the "pretty colors", too. Makes sense to me.
I'll lend you a good cat name: Purrl. It's our cat's name, chosen before we chose her and your wife might go for it -- though you might not.
