Never seen "Holiday Inn", but I never would have included "Blues Brothers", I just really never got into those movies. Thanks for reading.

Another great list. (Reply to this comment)

All of your choices are quality pictures. The one that I would have included is "Holiday Inn." And maybe another vote for the "Blues Brothers."

Hey Alena, it's quite tough to decide, I know, but as I said before, I do think I'm on the classics side.

Thanks for reading,

Sorry that it took me so long to read it. Moulin Rouge is my favorite film, but there are many on the classics list like West Side Story which I love as well.

Hey Brian, thanks for the encouragement. I wasn't sure that writing the taglines and keywords would please people, glad to know it did, I liked doing it that way, I found it quite amusing.

Although I'm not that crazy about Jesus Christ Superstar, Fame, and The Little Shop of Horrors, I would have gladly included Dancer in the Dark, as I do believe it is a master-piece, but for the fact that it is not a movie I can watch more than once. I found it fantastic, but the end left such a deep impact on me, even now, two years later, that I can't even listen to the songs of that movie, even though I have every other Bjork albums. Maybe I should have included Hedwig and the Angry Inch though...

Thanks again,
Thea

Of the two lists you construct, i prefer the Classic list. On the other hand, my Modern list would have included Jesus Christ Superstar, Fame, Little Shop of Horrors, Dancer in the Dark, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and by that sampling i'll take the modern era. Are we differing in tastes, or just experience?

That said, i'd have a hard time complaining about most of the movies you _do_ choose, and the Tagline/ Keywords write-up style is both innovative and, i think, successful. I enjoyed reading this; thanks for sharing.

cheers!

I always would have said that I don't much like musicals. Now, as I look at this list, there are both new and old that I absolutely love. So I guess that makes me both a modern and a classic, albeit one with incredibly little self awareness!

Great job -

Hey nc10, I did see the Blues Brothers, and you might try to kill me, but I really didn't like it too much. Ok, go easy on the strangling.

Hey Echo, even though I do still love the modern musicals I listed, I am definately a classic girl myself. But I think it has more to do with the fact that I grew up watching those classic musicals. Thea

Hey Panguitch, I know I'm in love with Audrey Hepburn, that's why her pic is up on my profile page. Thea

Hey Chad, at first, I did have my doubts about including Some Like It Hot, but it was listed as a musical, so I decided, why not since it is such a great movie. Now, how could I not have included Top Hat! But unfortunately, Singing in the Rain, while a good movie, was not my favorite. Don't blame me though, I think I have my mother's tastes.

Great lists!!! But I have to say that I am a classic musical girl by far- I loved all the classics that you listed, however, I didn't care too much for Chicago, had to stop Moulin Rouge 20 minutes into the film- couldn't stand it, don't "get" the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and have never seen Grease all the way through!! So there you have it, I'm a classic girl!!
Thanks for a great review!!

I think I'm an old fashioned guy myself. Though there were some good ones in the 70s and I liked Hair Spray.

My favorite on your list is probably Funny Face, though for some reason I don't think of it as a musical. But then again, I'm in love with Hepburn, so maybe that's all there is to it. (Isn't everyone?)

But these "How Old Are You" questions gotta go. I prefer to divert attention to other aspects about me, such as "How Old Was I When."

Nice review.

Thank God you included "Top Hat" in there at the end...what an excellent selection. And kudos for most of the rest of the list as well, though I don't know if I would necessarily classify "Some Like it Hot" as a musical (it is definitely a wonderful film though!)

But where oh where is one of the greatest films of all time, "Singin' in the Rain"?!

Regards,
Chad.

I loved Saturday Night Fever, for example, but also West Side Story was/is probably one of my favorites. I was singing Officer Krupke as a little girl:) Nice job on this. This would have taken me 2 weeks to write! jo (which is why I rarely see this category)
