20 Pretty Boring Things About Me.....Corpgent's Write - Off!

The Bottom Line Eh? Just read the review...
After reading so many submissions in Corpgents 20 things about me write-off, I decided to invite myself and participate in it. I never get emails asking me to join write-offs, so I figured I'd just better go ahead and ask Corpgent myself, even it is a little late. If you are looking for something really exciting, go elsewhere. I'm a pretty boring person and there's nothing really exciting here. The most fun I think I have ever had was in High School, so I am so sorry if these 20 things pretty much talk about those years.
20. I am the oldest child out of 2 children. My baby brother will be turning 25 years old soon. There's almost a 5 year gap between the 2 of us so we were never really that close when it came to having the same friends or toys growing up. He is one very proud uncle of my children and sometimes I have to remember just who the children really are when he is playing with them.
19. When I was little, I loved watching the Brady Bunch, so much so that I wanted my name to be Cindy. I begged and begged for my Mom to change it, or at least call me Cindy. She wouldn't nudge, so Tiffer stayed.
18. My real name is Tiffany, as if you couldn't figure that out. My mom always either calls me Tiff or Tiffer unless she's upset with me, then Tiffany comes out. And that's how I chose my epinions name and all of my email names...
17. In 8th grade, I was taken to a drug counselor and tested for drugs. My social studies teacher reported me because I was always sleeping in her class. I kept telling everyone that I wasn't on drugs but no one believed me except for my Dad. Turns out I had mono and was house bound for 2 months. I slept about 20 hours a day and the only time I was really awake was from 2 am to 6 am. Do you know back in 1987, there was still nothing good on television at that time?
16. In 11th grade, I was taken to another rehab counselor because of "my problems" and the &*#%$& lady advised my mother that I should be sent away to a rehab center for drugs. Yet, other than smoking pot on occasions, I was only drinking every now and again. I told off the lady and tried to hit her (LOL) and walked out of the building. I walked quite a ways until I reached a pay phone and called my Dad. He told me that I wasn't going anywhere, and he was right. I didn't go anywhere. Still ticks me off how there are kids out there with real drug and alcohol problems and yet the teenager that just does something every so often is the one they want to send away.
15. Also in 11th grade, I was arrested for assault for getting into a fight with this girl from my class. She needed stitches across her face and her mother pressed charges against me. My mother paid for the hospital bills so that the lady wouldn't sue.
14. In 10th grade I started a race riot. It was during a pep rally and this black kid Malik was sitting behind me. He kept kneeing me in the back on purpose and I kept yelling at him to quit it. Finally I had enough so I got up and decked him in the face. He stood up and punched me back (again LMAO). When he did that, all of my white long haired heavy metal friends stood up and then all of his black friends stood up. Everyone started fighting while me and Malik were taken away by teachers and brought to the principles office. The principle was more upset with Malik for hitting me than he was with the riot that was now happening... To this day, people still tease Malik for getting his a$$ kicked by a girl.
13. My mother was on a first name basis with the principle while I was in High School.
12. I made High Honors my Senior year in High School. I shocked the hell out of everyone, just to spite them all.
11. I am a very stubborn person and the more you want me to give in, the more stubborn I get. You have a better chance of seeing baby pigs ice skating in hell than you do of getting me give in to something.
10. After HS, I did a year of college and hated it. So I joined the Army. I was a 62B trying to change MOS's into something medical. Then I became pregnant a few years later and went into the Inactive Reserves, so I never got to change my MOS. For those who haven't a clue, a 62B is a mechanic, but I pretty much didn't learn anything so don't ask me to go and fix your car. However, you ever need a tread changed on a tank, I'm the person to call.
9. I once insulted the lead singer of Faith No More and he wasn't happy about it. But oh well..
8. I was a certified nursing assistant by the age of 16 since the high school I went to was a vocational high school and my "shop" was nursing.
7. I was a volunteer on the ambulance corps from the age of 16 until I became pregnant with my son at 20 years old. We used to work a lot of the gigs at Giants Stadium and the Arena and since we could go anywhere we wanted to, I would always get backstage and meet people. I've met Metallica, Bon Jovi, the Grateful Dead, Skid Row, Motley Crue, Whitesnake, The New Jersey Devils, The Nets, The Giants and the Jets, Depeche Mode, Anthrax and Faith No More (see #9 above).
6. I was in labor a total of 3 hours with my oldest son and about 2 hours with my little one. With my oldest son I didn't even know I was in labor, I was on my way to work and had to stop at the doctor for a weight check. I told him I was up all night just feeling uncomfortable and he checked me out telling me I was 6cm dilated and that I wasn't going to work or driving anywhere. I had to wait for my husband (then boyfriend) to come and pick me up and even then I still didn't go to the hospital. I went home and dilly dallied for an hour or so.
5. I have a mini toy store in my house. I'm sure you can see that judging by all of the K&F reviews I write. I have a whole closet filled up with toys that are no longer played with and am patiently waiting to do a garage sale one day soon.
4. I won $5000.00 once playing the lottery in New Jersey. I won $3500.00 once at bingo in Foxwoods.
3. I have gained 35 pounds since I moved to Florida. I guess because this county believes in having everything so far apart that you can't just walk anywhere, you have to drive. In New Jersey the town I lived in was a whole square mile and I would walk everyhwere. Here, the only place I walk is to the backyard taking out the dog.
2. Yesterday was 10 years I have been with my husband, but on May 17th of next month, it will be 1 year that we have been married.
1. I hate talking about myself. I'd much rather talk about my kids or talk about someone else. I also feel bad for those of you who read this looking for something cool and interesting, but I am a pretty mellow person since I turned 21 some * years ago. Oh and before I forget, I am having a real problem admitting my age lately. I will be turning 30 in July and I am very upset over it. So I think I will just keep saying I'm 29 for as long as I can get away with it. The stores keep proofing me for cigarettes and alcohol, so that makes me a happy camper.
20+ Just some other little tidbits of information:
I'm a cancer, I'm pro-gun, I'm a gun owner, I'm not for abortion but I am for a woman's right to choose, I have 2 tattoos and been waiting for the last 12 years to get a third one, I haven't gotten into a physical fight since I was 19 years old, I hate rap music, I was a cheerleader, I played softball, I love the beach and the sun but thunderstorms are better, I miss snow.
Well that about sums it up. Theres lots more I could tell you but I ran out of numbers. Maybe I'll do a part 2 for those of you who need a good read to make you sleepy.
