The issue of body-image is dealt with wonderfully here--and other issues are touched upon, too: e.g. stress from the rat-race; deep pockets appealing to greedy, sue-happy people; etc.
If I had more time, I would be going right on to the next part right now, but I'm running out of time for now.
Therefore, I'm going to bookmark this for easy access later.
This looks very professional, and I can hardly wait to see it on either the big screen or the TV screen (or both)!!!

Wow! I am really surprised. I didn't doubt your writing abilities, but didn't expect this for a 'first'. Very nice. You set up the scenes, the characters, the feelings.. etc. Feels like I am watching the movie in my mind.
April is the kind of character that you love and you hate. Of course, this is only a 'part 1' perception, but I, and I am sure the majority, see parts of their thoughts/beliefs in her. Hate the thoughts, but love being able to relate.
Anyhow- I have to finish up. More of my ramblings to come.
