Pros: Looks fabulous sitting on my kitchen counter. Sleek, modern, just nifty looking!
Cons: Leaks, frother blows off, water container hard to engage, high disappointment level, underwhelming espresso
The Bottom Line: Don't buy it. For a little more you can get a good machine. Not many of us have the time in the morning required for the hassle of this machine.

I had had the same Krups (German Made) espresso machine for about 11 years. Always worked wonderfully. Steam driven, nice frother, great, inexpensive machine. So, when it finally died, I bought the Krups XP4030 machine. $149. Bargain, right?
The machine leaks. The espresso drips outside of where it should be coming out, and I mean, drips excessively. Also, the unit vibrates to the extent that you must hold the cup so it does not get shaken off onto the counter (that happened with my first cup).
The first time I tried the frother, the rubber/metal part blew off into the milk, sending a spray of steam into the room and milk all over the counter, wall, and the face of my curious cat.
I read and re-read the directions, thinking that SURELY I had to be doing some things wrong. The directions speak of the leaking, and state that it is due to coffee grinds around the seal. BUT, it leaked when I ran straight water through (the directions instruct the user to run water through the machine before making the first coffee).
Also, I have to battle with the water container to get it to engage into the unit. If it doesn't engage, the water doesn't run through. It took three tries this morning to get the thing going. My old Krups never gave me this trouble.
So, after one week of fighting with this thing, and only after checking the Epinions, I have ordered a Breville EXP8XL Cafe Roma machine. (Amazon.com, only $188! That's only $39 more than the China Krups) The Epinion reveiws rave about it. I also bought a Farberware perculator, 2-4 cup, also scoring high with the Epinions users. I will keep you informed on those.
The Krups will be taken back, and my $149 returned.
