I have ordered from Dick's Sporting Goods Online Store many times and UNTIL my last order never had a single glitch.
SHOPPING AND SHIPPING
Dick's Sporting Goods Online Store offer 11 main categories (each with many sub-categories) which follow you around as you shop, making it easy to switch from area to area.
• Exercise
• Footwear & Apparel
• Team Sports
• Action Sports
• Golf
• Racquet Sports
• Winter Sports
• Water Sports
• Outdoors
• Rec Room
• Fan Store
You can also find items by brand or use their search option which accepts item numbers or keywords.
The only information I could find on their shipping cost was that it was based on the weight of the total order. On my orders that were under $50. The shipping was $4.99 and the one that was in the mid seventies was $6.99.
They put out a lot of discount coupons and/or codes where I have gotten free shipping as well as some great discounts. They participate in the $10 off new Google checkout customers offer. They also offer Free Shipping on orders over $99.
All of my past orders were at my door within ten days.
MY LAST TWO ORDERS
Early December, I placed two orders from Dick's Sporting Goods Online Store. The first order was for some for some Racquetball gear, a glove and glasses. The second order (just a couple of days later) was for a Yankees fitted ball cap and some Racquetball balls. All of the items were to be stocking stuffers.
The confirmation emails arrived and a couple of days later, I got another email stating the Yankees hat was backordered and would be sent out as soon as it got in. The first order arrived within a week of ordering and the balls from the second order were delivered within nine days. The cap did not make it by Christmas and when it still hadn’t arrived by New Years, I called CS and was told it would arrive “momentarily” The hat however JUST arrived - making it over two months since it was ordered!
I understand it was backordered, but two and a half months is a long time and 6 weeks is a lot longer than a “moment”! I never got an email telling me it was being sent so it was a pleasant surprise when it FINALLY arrived.

I like shopping at Dick's Sporting Goods Online Store. Their site is easy to navigate, they have a great selection, put out discount offers and have competitive prices. I have paid for shipping (which was reasonable) as well as gotten free shipping and all of my orders - minus the Yankee cap - arrived within a reasonable time. Even though I was told the cap would arrive sooner, it is one order out of many. I am giving it 4 stars.
