Anyways, I'm thinking of hosting another write/off in the year 2014 (by which time I will be Pres of the US and have subsequently made it illegal to be Canadian, mark my words), if I send you the details for that now do you think you'll have your entry ready for then.

First off, Chris, if you were ever elected President: As proudly American as I am, I would deport myself to the dirtiest, smelliest, sleaziest most crime and ebola infested nation on earth (Though your anti-Canadian policy might get half a vote).

Second, aren’t you grateful I took so long to do this entry? The longer I took, the more perfect it became. But for your sake, I guess I’ll be on time next write-off.

Here’s a platitude for you: Kiss my a**!

Just kidding.

Wayne,

I thought it was a double V that made up W? Oh well…

And gracias for the honorable mention, that was a pleasant surprise! Laboring in obscurity gives any recognition an extra jolt. (I'll soon rise to an even more exalted level of neglect as a professional screenwriter.)

You’re quite welcome. I’m intending to revising your entry as soon as I get some initiative. It won’t be anything bad, more of a rib. How’s this sound: “Wayne joined Epinions when he went nowhere as a hack screenwriter. On here, though, he’s sub-par. Check him out”

I have no doubt you'll outgrow pro-wrestling just as I did once Women (the ultimate W-word) become your #1 obsession. Don't fight it, son, it's a natural thing.

But see, that’s the thing: I don’t want to outgrow pro-wrestling. I know there are greater things out there, but Vince McMahon has a hold on me and millions of others. Maybe I should have kept this interest in the closet like I have for years now…

You are right about the ultimate W-word, though. Very much right. It slipped my mind, mainly because of how obvious it is. And don’t worry: I won’t fight it. If anything, I’ll give in to it.

How did I also forgot Woo-Hoo, along with Wiggum, Willie, Woods, etc.? Need I say “Doh?”

(Actually I didn’t forget them. I was just holding back on writing them up. Check back in a month or so, when I finally start getting to work again).

Write-again soon (Or sooner than I’ve been doing),

I did this write/off so long ago I've forgotten what it's all about. But it looks good enough so I'm sure it meets the criteria.

LOL (just in case you weren't sure)

Chris

PS
Oh yeah, I forgot the platitudes: great stuff, thanks for writing, couldn't have done it without you blah blah blah

Great write-up, Neal,

BTW, seeing Ed Wood & Orson Welles on the same page reminded me of that great bar scene from "Ed Wood" when they commiserated over their travails as indie filmmakers! Yes!

Remember to add Homer's immortal exclamation:

Woo-Hoo!

Neal-

I thought you'd fallen off the edge of the world or something. But finally you return, and deliver this wondrous list of wacky W's to boot.

I question the relevancy of including Wrestling (er, Rasslin') in a movie dictionary. But then again, who am I to question your passions? And as you yourself so ably predict:

Perhaps when I’m older and more cynical, I will look back at this time of my life and laugh at how I could like such a thing.

This is a certainty, believe you me.

Welcome back, bud.
